You

How could I have lived without you?
You taught me so much...
You always saved lives, yet I got all the glory...
And I never once saw you frown.
You always told me it wasn't for honor or fame... But for the goodness of it.
Someday I hope to follow in your tracks.

You were the moon and I was the stars...
You gave me the light to shine...
You wanted me to become something spectacular.
You were the hands I was the dice...
You always seemed to make me a six...
You wanted me to win the game. I won't let you be forgotten...

One day you'll get a standing ovation...
I want you to know that you were my shield...
I was the knight while you were the protector.
I want everyone to know, I was the sword shining in your hands...
You made me shine when things got bloody,
You showed me who I really can be.

You were the eyes of the ocean...
While I was the ship sailing home.
You controlled the waves, and made sure I got home safe.
You acted as Poseidon, Yet took mercy on my raft.
You were as Neptune controlling the sea...
You acted as god and fulfilled my life.
Sometimes we must sacrifice for the ones we love...
You sacrificed your glory...So I have fame in the end.
To tell the truth, you're the only one who truly ever got me.
You gave me glory... And now it's time to return the favor.
You were the clover and I was the leaves...
You gave me balance to live.
You gave me the one thing I ever truly wanted...
Someone to trust all the way to the end... You...
